Playmobil Novelmore
Playmobil describes Novelmore as the realm of heroic knights, wicked villains and perilous dragons. The main characters are Prince Arwynn, heir to the throne, Gwynn, who wants to become Novelmore’s first female knight, and the inventor Dario Da Vinci.
Against them stand the Burnham Raiders, including Pyralia and the jester Kahboom. Their adventures are in the NOVELMORE series on YouTube and YouTube Kids.
Sets in Novelmore
The sets include a medieval jousting area and My Figures: Knights of Novelmore (71487), with four knights whose bodies, heads and limbs can be swapped; Playmobil names 5 years and up for that set.
Schleich Eldrador Creatures
Schleich’s Eldrador Creatures come from five worlds: the Lava World, the Ice World, the Jungle World, the Stone World and the Shadow World.
According to Schleich, the story turns on a super weapon: a magic sword that makes its owner invincible. Besides single figures there are play sets such as the BattleCaves.
The difference
Novelmore is about knights and their world: castles, figures and a story with recurring characters. Eldrador is about the creatures themselves, as single figures that take each other on.
They are separate systems; mixing works in play, but sizes and styles differ.
How to choose
If your child watches the series, Novelmore is the obvious choice. If they like creatures to collect and pit against each other, Eldrador fits. Check the age on the box of each set.
