Sinterklaas and Christmas: play sets by budget
Sinterklaas and Christmas are a few weeks apart, and many families give something on both days. This is how to split the budget and pick sets that go together.
Two holidays, one plan
In the Netherlands Sinterklaas is celebrated on the evening of 5 December; in Belgium and in Germany (Nikolaus) the day is 6 December. Christmas follows on 25 December.
If you buy for both, choose a small set for Sinterklaas and a bigger one for Christmas, or the other way round. Sets from the same theme then complete each other.
The shoe and the small presents

The big present
For the main present, look at the budgets from €30 to €60 and from €60: that is where the larger play worlds and building sets are. Check the space a set needs once built.
If you give together with family, agree who buys which set from the theme, so nothing ends up under the tree twice.
